BYOC - Bring Your Own Crazy!

BYOC – Bring Your Own Crazy….5 little questions we ask to get to know each other better and to give our blogging brains a break. Copy and paste to your own blog and enjoy!

1. If you have a camera and have the time – take the contents of your purse out – and take a picture of said contents and explain them. If you don’t have time or a camera – please describe the contents of your purse.

Well, let's see here.....I've got a lot of little crap.
-Business card to poopy pants Ron, new sunglasses, phone, cords that go to my camera and MP3, camera battery charger, oh and camera (that I'm using to take this pic), other business card holders (black things), matches, fishing license, pens, keys to my Mom's, eye drops, head ache meds, tissues, paper, little baby makeup mirror, hand sanitizer, wallet and business checkbook, lighter, change, Ryan's candy, keys, head lamp to go on ball caps for running (red and black thing), mints, chapstick, 2 jump drives, and some bobby pins.

Everything that a girl needs.

2. Repeat question: I’m going to pick a person not knowing if you have a relationship with this person or if the person even exists and you try to describe the person in 5 words or short sentences.

• Your kindergarten teacher

Barely
Remember.
Soft voice
Let us take naps
Brown hair

3. What’s your favorite guilty pleasure / trashy TV show you like to watch?

Can I get a woop woop for Housewives of Numerous Large Metropolises please (Bev. Hills is still my fav)!!! God I love those plastic drama-seeking beeaatches!  I also have been watching Top Gear on the History channel....3 hilarious dudes having a competition every week to see which souped-up Ford, Dodge, and Chevy truck wins ridiculous obstacle courses. I'm such a tom-boy. I also LOVE Greys and Private Practice and am going to miss Brothers & Sisters.

4. A lot of you told me about your first day of school experiences when I posted about how my 5 year old going to kindergarten wasn’t causing me too much heartache. So now I’m officially asking – tell me about one of your first day of school experiences that sticks out in your mind the most. Who put you on the bus? Did you ride the bus? Did your parents take pics? Did they walk you into school? Drive you there? Cook you breakfast?

Ok, I wrote this on Draz's comment section the other day, but what I remember about my 'first day' was NUSSING like what is the hoopla now.  My mom was a teacher, and got to school at like 5am because, well, she loved educating teenage minds (more like she just had shitloads of papers to grade) and my dad also went to work super early doing whatever it is he did. So that left my brother and I in the gentle care of our babysitter Diane.  When it was time to go to Kindergarten, my best buddy, who lived across the street from us and also went to Diane's, and I were to go together.  Frannie's mom walked us through 'the route' on Sunday afternoon, told us to hold hands and look both ways. Come Monday morning we trotted off, by ourselves, 6 blocks to school.  There were no pictures, no rituals, no hugs or parents standing at the bottom steps waving us on through the big school doors. No NUSSING.  And I turned out just fine.

And don't get me wrong, I think it's soooo wonderful that parents have rituals on their first days, I'm looking forward to the wonderful rituals I'll get to start with my future children.  But I agree with others, there's no way I'm freaking taking off work.  It's just another day.....just another moment....as long as I capture it on film, I'm good.

5. Repeat question: Summarize your week in real life and in blog land.

Real life has, again, been just as stinky as a Mexican food induced Satan fart. Recap: working overtime makes me the happiest person on the planet and I wake up every morning thanking the Lord that I get to have a psycho-filled stresscrazed day at my glorious place of employment. Sarcasm much? At home, I had a knock-down drag-out cat fight with my new dishwasher, I tried to claw it's eyes out, but it won. Ho-bag. Only good part is that I almost made a grown (sales)man cry like a girl.

And so I'm not a complete party pooper: I've stuck to my Clean Eating lifestyle change for 5 full days!!!  No beers, no donuts, no popcorn, no anything-that-has-mouthwatering-sugar-and-makes-me-have-a-chocolate-induced-orgasm. Last night I had grilled cajun chicken with lettuce, tomato, green peppers, avocado, mozzarella, and light mayo on a whole wheat pita......A.MAZ.ING!  And at a suggestion to Mommykinz I am totally trying some new Chobani yogurt. Yum.

One more thing! Look at the rockin' new beer coozies my Mom and Hardy (her bf) gave to me.....
No Draz that is not my Harley seat. I have not crossed over to the other side yet.
They're little cah-boy (cowboy in Kansan talk) boots!!! Aren't they the cutest little fun things ever!! I mean, who loves beer and shoes more than me??? (Well, except I know Draz is way more obsessed with Mt. Dew and shoes, than I am.)

Blog land:  Ummm, did y'all know yesterday was Thursday??!! Did you all wonder where my 10 Things Thursday was??? Were you all so confused you didn't know whether to scratch your watch or wind your butt?  No? That's what I thought. Thank you to my wonderful Cat for reminding me....at 9pm last night....that I forgot, by posting her 10 Things.  Or I just had another ditzy episode that lasted a full 12 hours.  Either way, I'm sorry Pumkins!! Next week it's on like donkey kong!

Well, I'm off to the wonderland called Table Rock. It's nice there. No worky-worky. But has water, boats, screened in porches to read all day on, beers, and best friends and great family. Bliss.

  4. My gosh. I don't drink beer, but if they came in cute little booties like that, I just might!

I am down with the Real Housewives too. Atlanta used to be my favourite, but I don't catch around here any more. I'm now tuning into the RHWofBH! :)

  7. I missed your 10 things. I even posted a pic of my dog in mine for you! Hee hee.

I agree about the rituals now with back to school, I think it's a bit much for some people, but whatever people do to remember their children's growing up years, I think it's great for them. :)
