Shots, panties, and Coach....Good Times.

I think it's safe to say that I'm finally NOT hungover.
Anymore.
And it's Tuesday.
Sweet baby Jesus and purple polka dot puffy farts.

And some how I pulled out from my beer soaked ass a 31 minute 3 mile run this morning.  Miracles do happen people. (Maybe I need to get shitcanned more often to pull out fast runs. Hummmm, drink for thought on that one.)

To say the weekend was a fun bachelorette party is an understatement.

It was more like: Here's a bunch of 30 year old 'ladies' who either have kids or are thinking about having kids or thinking about getting married/have respectable jobs either at home or out in the 'real' world/haven't gone out like a 45 year old meth'ed up rock star with a shellacked mini-skirt on in at least 5 years/can't remember how to put your own eyeliner on (your BFF always does a better job anyway)/I might just throw up that panty dropper shot (or whatever it was) into my Coach purse/my thigh muscles are going to be so ripped by the time I get off this dance floor that they'll look worse than Arnold's....kind of night.

Basically, it was AMAZEBALLS!

First came the outfits. Mine was killer....just sayin'.
I don't know why I look like my head is way to big for my body on this picture. But lets just roll with it, mmmmKay?

Then came the restaurant. My favorite: Hibachi Hut (it's Cajun).  Where we had an excellent dinner and started off the drinking. Here's the crowd of girls that accompanied Tina (that would be the bride-to-be) on her night of ruthless partying.

This would be the last half of my John's Spicy Shrimp. Pretty sure it's the best thang ever made on this planet. Butter, super light-your-ass-on-fire spicy, white rice and shrimp. What more do you need?

Me and the future bride. Quite possibly the most bestest friend I have in the whole entire world. (Actually, she IS my most bestest friend.) She's the sweetest cutest little thing and I loves her to pieces.

Then came the shots.
I don't know why I look like I'm wanting to serenade the shot. Don't ask.

Then came gift giving and the waiter smelling the gift (which were super $$$ panties, they smelled better than fresh flowers. I swear to all that is Holy I'm going to have to sell a kidney and buy a pair.)
Oh, and that waiter.....he's middle name is Available. (He's a friend. I shall hook you up. Because I'm pimp-tastic.)

Then came more shots. There is an actual bar that specializes in just shots. Huh??? I am so old.

The whole group at the Shot Stop (seriously, look at the stacks of shot glasses. Totally normal adult bar.):

Didn't get a chance to sample Susie's Asshole. To bad, so sad.

Next on the menu was dancing. Unfortunately, I don't have any pics of those glorious moments. But I will tell you I got hit on by a 45 year old married man and a 22 year old skinny kid tried to bump and grind with me. It was priceless.

Me and my humongous lumberjack beer are soulmates or birth-mates, either way's fine.  Tina: We're still soulmates, don't you worry.

There are just no words:

Yet again....more shots. And why not chase them with a beer. Crazytown....I know.

And Lindsey: what the suck are you doing with your face cheeks? Just asking. (BTW, that badass Lindsey chick runs a 10K or some bullshit every single day. She's my idol.)

Thinking 'more shots' was not the best idea. But Lindsey thinks it's amusing. That's comforting.  Well, and Megan (to my right): What is so freaking damned important at 1:30 in the morning on your smartphone?  You need to be focusing on me and my soon to be 'maybe' puking.

All in all....THE. BEST. NIGHT. EVAH!

The drive home on Sunday was craptastic at best.  I didn't pull over to hork (good word Draz), so that's a plus in my book.

To completely solidify how freaking awesome my bestie and bride to be is, this is one of the gifts that she gave me for "doing everything I do for her" (aka, take her engagement pictures which were her wedding gift and being the coolest best friend on this green earth).

That's right. That's Coach.  A cute little Coach purse just for little ol' me.

I was not born into a 'Coach purse' kind of world. I just didn't think I'd ever be able to afford one.  But I always secretly wanted one. Always.  It was so completely amazingly sweet and thoughtful that my BFF would give me the one thing I've always wanted.

She is such a great friend and I shall keep her for always.  Cheers to you Tina on your new life with your amazing soon-to-be hubby!  (And thanks for the flashback to when we partied like 21 year old hookers. Drunktastic!)

My life has been changed for eternity. Be prepared: Fantastic proclamations happening in this little post.

Soooooooo.....I just found out something spectacular.  Actually, down right life changing.  I mean...THE epitome of BaaaaaadAssssss.

Serious peeps.

This will rock your world.

A co-worker just told me that today was National Beer Day.  But, wait. That's not the good part.  I'm mean the most tubular radical awesome-tastic part.

This is: I decided to 'google' National Beer Day to get a little picture or something and tell you guys that I just have to celebrate this joyous event this evening otherwise the world would just stop rotating and we would fall out of the universe (and like I need more of a valid point to start my alcohol consumption).  And lo and behold, when I did google, this is what Yahoo Answers and a crapload of other sites said:

When is National Beer Day in the USA?

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters

National Beer Day is on April 7th. There are a couple other similar questions on yahoo that point to Oct. 27th, 2009 as National Beer Day, but that is wrong. Oct. 27th, 2009 is American Beer Day, not US National Beer Day. It is a celebration of beer brewed in America, not the craft of beer in general.

In 1933 during the prohibition era, the Cullen-Harrison Act was signed into law by President Franklin Roosevelt on March 23rd. That law was enacted on April 7th allowing the brewing and sale of beer in the United States again as long as it was < 3.2% (4% ABV). It's said that people waited in line overnight on April 6th outside Milwaukee breweries in order to legally buy beer for the first time in over 13 years. April 7th is known as National Beer Day and April 6th is called New Beers Eve.

And do you freaking know what OTHER major fantastic event happens on April 7th??!!! Huh?
Do ya?
Do ya?

It's my BIRTHDAY!!!!

Holy green pterodactyl balls people! It's like I was made to love to drink beer.

That Roosevelt guy is like my new best friend. Someone give that guy a metal! Someone make him a Saint!

Ok, I gotta go. There's a Mr. Bud calling.......

BYOC - Bring Your Own Crazy!

Yup, it’s time for BYOC – Bring Your Own Crazy!!!!!
We answer a few questions in an effort to get to know each other better and
to give our blogging brains a break.  Copy to your own blog and enjoy!

1. I’m going to pick a person in your life – not knowing if you have a good or bad, existing or non-existent relationship with them – and your mission is to pick 5 words or traits or thoughts to describe them.

Your paternal grandmother.

Creative
Classy
Amazing Gardener
Silver & Turquoise jewelry everywhere.
Sassy

2. What’s your all time favorite color to paint your nails? And your toes?

Purple. Then Hot Pink is my second. But I've been wanting to branch out with neons and blues and greens too.

3. Do you get along with your parents well?

Yes, my mom and I have such a great relationship. Wasn't always that way. I distinctly remember having ear piercing screaming matches at least twice a week when I was going through my rebellious teens. We'd stomp off (literally. we stomp our feet and put our hands on our hips like 3 year olds in a 'I can't have candy' induced tantrum), slam doors (like completely mature people) and not talk to each other for hours.  Then, I'd wise up and apologize. And the world would continue to revolve like normal.

And my dad taught me everything I know about driving stick, shooting a gun, building a deck, house, or whatever, roofing a house,  drinking beer, and how to love spicy food!  (Can you tell I was first born and he maybe wanted a boy first? lol.)

4. Speaking of rainbows – rank the rainbow colors in the order you prefer.

Purple (I know....big surprise.)
Red
Pink (um yes – in my world – this color is in the rainbow)
Blue
Green
Yellow
Orange

5. Repeat question. How was your week in real life and in blog land this week?

Okay, blogland I haven't been doing a whole lot of posting. I mean, I did the picture post of the most adorable little nephew EVER. Then I did my disaster recap (+ new buys & canning lesson). But that was about it.

Which leads me to Real Life: I've been freaking swamped with work.  First, BOTH devil printers broke down and I spend Monday thru Wed. trying to get them working.  I did, btw, because I am the devil printer wonder mechanic and make miracles happen.  Then I have my Bestie's bachelorette party this weekend, which required shopping. AND I had to finish those beautiful pictures of Kyron so I can drop them off to my bro and SIL.  I did run and do Bodyrock.tv twice this week. Whoopty-do.  I also drank copious amounts of beer, ate nachos and didn't have the 'Power' to say no to cheesecake this morning for breakfast.  I am such a dumbass.  But, I'm blaming TOM. He's a psycho bastard. I do plan on running tonight....in 80% humidity....I know, not smart, but I need to get it done.  And doing a new Bodyrock.tv workout too.  And not drinking beer. Right.

I can't wait for Saturday tho! Favorite bestie, favorite restaurant, tons of drinks, going out to my old college bars and seeing all the 12 year old looking skinny Barbie bitches which makes me what to stab a person with a stirring straw and have a great time!  (Plus I'll get to wear that new dress and take pictures so your wonderous eyeballs can feast on how I can actually dress myself, accordingly, at least once a year.)

The End.

Canning, Shoes, and Smurfs. What more does a girl need?

Holy Toledo batladies! I have so much to tell you!

I've been living my batshit crazy freakish life that has damn near done me into a straight jacket.  Seriously.
And what's with all the 'bat' references?
Whatever.
Moving on.

First, was another fun 'Canning Weekend'!  (Yes, it's almost Wednesday before I finally have 2 miliseconds to sit down and write about last weekend. Get over it.) Homemade salsa this time chica's. Ieeeii-Yiiii-YIIIII. And it went fairly quick. (Maybe because I was sober this time? Naaaa.)
One ENORMOUS pot of salsa goodness.
It looks small....oh, but it isn't.

Canning station in full force. Check.

Moving salsa to jars. Check.

And we have completed our canning mission!

I haven't tried any....except for the 8 cups I had while making it, you gotta taste test peeps....but I'm pretty sure it's Baaaaad Aaaaasssssssss.

Ohhhhhhh! And of course there was some shopping last weekend too.  I did meet my 'work out 5 days a week' goal, which rewarded me with a killer dress.....and shoes.....and a belt.  Most excellent. Draz: This would be the time to get that towel.  No need to ruin another keyboard with drool. And tell Rambo that screen licking is mandatory.
You likes??!! All for $28. (With a $10 off 'I'm a shopping goddess' coupon.)
OK, I just added the goddess part. It's fine.

Total $84! Shoes, belt and dress!
BAR. GAIN. SHOPPER. Don't be a hater.
Besides the whole 'I've gotta meet my goals so that's the only reason to spend money I don't really have' thang, my besty friend in the whole entire world is having her bachelorette party this weekend and I just didn't have a thing to wear. Right. Hence.....cutestest outfit on the planet.  Can I just say I'm so freaking excited!  Not only for the new dress, but because I can actually put together an entire outfit and I don't look like a 97 year old crack whore dressed me? (Which is what I normally look like when I try to mix up the Ts and jeans with something 'trendy'.)

Then Monday came.

And all that was lovely and rainbows came crashing down like a foot on a bag of burning poop. (Sorry Draz.) (Not like I've ever done that.) Monday: With it's demon horned cursing obscenities self.  Freaking bastard Mondays. I CURSE you with the most evil spell!

Yup. You guessed it. I accidentally exploded a colony of Smurfs all over the back half of my office.

This is after we cleaned up the floor, the garage door, the grey door, the back of the printer, a fan, numerous papers and plexi-glass cutouts, and if the ceiling wasn't 25 feet in the air....that too.  This is also only about 1/10th of the damage, by the way.

Genius me left a half gallon container FREAKING FULL of ink on the back of the devil printers (I use monstrous printers about the size of Rhode Island to print things, and they are possessed by Satan himself and they torment me daily...just for fun) and it fell off and splattered blue ink everywhere, which you can see....and also, you can not clean up with water, soap, spit, bitching and moaning or anything, all over my freaking shop. Slash my office.

Good times.

Oh, and yes, that is metal sheeting on the wall and a huge garage door because I work in a oversized farm building. Totally normal office in hickland.

Just everyday fantasticness in LauraBelleLand.

And today wasn't much better.  But....a nice frosty beverage cures what ails ya.
Wow, that sounded backwoods.

Anyway, I bought a new salad spinner, so now all is right with the world.

Don't'cha just love it how I change topics like a Lindsey changes swimsuits on her birthday?

Little survey of me...

Survey time! I stole this from Dawnya, but there are a ton of people doing it. So you should do it to!

1.            What is your occupation right now?
I am the supervisor for the Print Dept at an aerospace repair and manufacture company.  Basically, I print on the face of the gauges in airplanes. Like your fuel level, or altitude. Same as the MPH gauge in your car, I print the lines on it that tells you if you're going 20mph or 85mph. (Scarey that I have that kind of responsibility, huh.)
2.            What color are your socks right now?
Not wearing any today, because I'm wearing my new Toms!! Yeah!
Aren't they cute?! Note to self: Clean your freaking desk.
3.            What are you listening to right now?
Walk of Life by Dire Straits.  I know. Random. Gotta love Pandora.
4.            What was the last thing that you ate?
Currently eating Shrimp Stir-Fry that I made last night.

5.            Can you drive a stick shift?
My dad made me learn stick before I could drive any other vehicle. But I was like 10 and it was a farm truck. I remember I couldn't push in the clutch, move the shifter, and look out the front, thank God we were in fields only.
6.            Last person you spoke to on the phone?
My Hubby. He has found a new obsessed hunting buddy and they saw one of the biggest bucks ever last night while driving around dirt roads. (He's working out of town in Big Deer Country, nothing better to do after work than look for deer, I guess.)
7.            Do you like the person you stole this blog from?
Love her to pieces!!!
8.            How old are you today?
30
9.            What is your favorite sport to watch on TV?
College Football, then Pro Football, and College Basketball. These are the only sports that do it for me.
10.          What is your favorite drink?
Ummm, I'm pretty sure we all know the answer to this one, but in case you were born yesterday: I love me's some beers.
11.          Have you ever dyed your hair?
All the time.  When I was in high school I dyed it so black it was purple.  Now I just dye it once in awhile to get the shine back.
12.          Favorite food?
Crab Legs. But I never get to eat them anymore because Ryan became allergic and I feel bad eating them in front of him.  2nd best: Mexican!! Aaaa cha cha!
13.          What is the last movie you watched?
Angels & Demons, just last night.
14.          Favorite day of the year?
Am I being too selfish to say my birthday?!
15.          How do you vent anger?
I've been known to kick things (broke my big toe doing that, not a good idea), but really I yell loud, then I just have to leave the situation and breathe and calm down. Then I analyze and go back and talk it out.
16.          What was your favorite toy as a child?
Barbie. Fo Realz.
17.          What is your favorite season?
Holy crap. Ummm Summer. With the exception of this hot bastard of one.
18.          Cherries or Blueberries?
Blueberries. I hate cherries or anything cherry flavored. yucky poo.
19.          Do you want your friends to blog this survey?
Abso-freaking-lutely.
20.          Where is you favorite place to escape?
The lake or a beach. Lake is closer.
21.          Favorite TV Show(s)?
Ghost hunters (ya, i'm that nerdy.) Grey's Anatomy. Funniest Videos.
22.          Living arrangements?
We own a little 3 bedroom in the 'burbs.  It has a great big fenced in back yard for you know who.  (Wyatt, not Ryan.)
23.          When was the last time you cried?
Sunday night. I missed my stepdad.
24.          What is on the floor of your closet?
Sports bra, previously sweaty. Many shoes.
25.          Who is the friend you have had the longest?
I'd say it's my friend Tina. I've known her for around 7-8 years. I think.  It's sad, I moved around a lot as a kid, so I never had close/long relationships.
26.          What did you do last night?
Watched a movie with my puppy.
27.          What are you most afraid of?
Freaking spiders. Big ones, little ones, hairy ones, yellow ones, ALL KINDS. *Shivers*
28.          Plain, cheese, or spicy hamburgers?
Spicy! with cheese too!
29.          Favorite dog breed?
Ummm, also pretty sure you all know the answer to this:

(Did you like those Cat?! Just for you, hun!)

BYOC - Bring Your Own Crazy!

A little ditty where we answer a few questions on Friday to get to know each other better and to give our blogging brains a break.  Copy and paste to your own blog if you so desire!  Enjoy!

1.  Sun or rain?  Roses or tulips?  Romantic movie or comedy?
-SUN! I love me some sunshine. It's all warming on your skin and you can bask in it's glow.  B. E. A. Utiful!
However....I have been cursing the sun the last 2 months because of the extreme heat.  I'd rather have heat than cold though!
-Ummm, really, my favorite flowers are Irises.  I had purple ones in my wedding bouquet. Shocker on the color, I know.

-I agree with Draz...Romantic Comedy.  I just watched The Proposal 14 times last weekend. It was amazeballs.

2.  What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
Anything chocolate! Like, double chocolate brownie sunday, or rocky road, or chocolate chip mint.

3.  Are you a door locker - in your house and car?
We NEVER locked our doors when I was growing up.  Even all through high school.  But now that we live 'in the big city' we lock all doors and windows AND have an alarm.  Fully protected.

4.  Tell me your "go to remedies" for when you are sick?
If I even feel a ping of sickness coming on I take some herbal vitamins called Cold Snap.  Then I pop them like skittles all day...for days....until I feel better. My stepmom got me hooked on them. What they do is either stop the cold from happening or make the symptoms less harsh. Either way I've hardly ever been sick in 3 years (knock on wood) and now I've got my hubby hooked on them too.

5.  Repeat question:  Summarize your week in blog land and in real life.
Bloggyland:  You know, I've been doing some thinking (no comments on that).  I've been on this roller coaster of getting healthier for quite some time now.  I've tried many different types of websites and support systems. And with most of the ones that I tried, you know what the main problem was with them?  Everyone was so negative towards anything I did.  If I commented on another site that I wanted to start running every morning, someone would reply that wasn't a good idea because blah blah blah.  Then, I was ALWAYS chastised for drinking.  Always.  I know alcohol causes weight gain. I know it's bad for you.  But I don't give blue monkey balls.  I like beer. I like wine.  I like to have a few drinks on a hot summer day.  I know it'll take me longer to lose this weight and it doesn't help my health at all. But I can live with that. I want to live with that.

But on here? Completely opposite.  If I tell you guys I'm going to start swinging naked from the backyard tree and dive head first into a kiddy pool of margaritas to try and slim down my thighs, you'd all be like, "Awesome! You can do it! Make us proud, Laura Belle!"  Or " Let me know how that goes so I can try it!" (You know we're all crazy like that.)

Basically, what I'm trying to say is the support that I get from y'all on here is outstanding. You guys are my rock. My sunny day. My colorful rainbow.  You the shiznit peeps!!! So, Thank You!

Real Life: I've found a new interval weight training thing on the internet, thanks to Christy @ My Dirt Road Anthem, called Bodyrock.tv. I love it. I'm obsessed.  But I hated it last night because my ass and ab muscles hurt so bad that I couldn't bend down or breath without cursing Satan.  I also got up and ran this morning! Yippee for me!  I made it about 2 miles before I had to stop and lay on the pavement and catch my breath. Just kidding. I did a total of 4 miles and 2 of them I walked.  Not bad for taking a little month long breaky-poo.

And besides the cheese tortilla roll-up I had last night (made with a wheat tortilla, btw), I have stuck to a very strict high protein, low carb and low fat diet all week.  I also kinda made myself a little promise to not drink as much as I do on the weekends. I actually told myself that I would only drink Sat. night, but after the morning I had today, I think I deserve at least one frosty beverage when I get home. Oiy! Work sucks a big fatty.

Hope everyone has a fan-tabulously great weekend!!
