This happened yesterday:
Yup. That's our front yard.
I'm scared shitless.
We're totally going to sell fast and be homeless. I just know it.
Shit's gettin' real folks.
On another note, I think I'm experiencing my first pregnancy heartburn. And mama no likey likey. I've never had heartburn in my life. So I'm not sure if it's really that. Or I'm just a freak. But it feels like I could puke or burp. I can't decide. And there may be an entire Toaster Studel stuck in my sternum. I'm pretty sure I chewed it this morning. But knowing me I could have just shoved the whole thing in my hole and swallowed.
Either way, I'm pretty sure I'm dying.
And antacids taste like ass.
That is all.
Heartburn comes straight from hell, I swear. I used to work at a birth center, and we had an arsenal of ways to get rid of the stuff. Natural ways usually work better than the antacid tablets, but different things work for different people.
ReplyDelete- Bragg's apple cider vinegar (one or two tablespoons) mixed into water. It isn't the best tasting, but for some women (including me!) it works instantly
-Coconut water neutralizes and soothes, and tastes less like butt than the vinegar
-many women have luck with eating mango or papaya, or taking papaya capsules right before eating
-a lot of stores sell aloe vera juice in bottles for actual drinking (not the gel). They are typically kept by the organic fancy shmancy juices, pomegranate juice, kombucha, etc. The texture is snot like, and I think it tastes weird, but it does soothe and quickly. If given the choice of having lava running down my insides heartburn or drinking snot- I'll opt for the snot every time. It's definitely the lesser of the two evils.
Hope this helps!
I never had heartburn until I was pregnant either - HATED IT! Take care of you!
ReplyDeleteI had the worst heartburn when I was pregnant...I lived on tums...then I got blocked up from tums and lived on colace...tmi I am sure!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find a house soon and your house isn't still for sale in a year. Heartburn does suck, I didn't have any with my first kid but that is because he stuck out so far, it never bugged my stomach or breathing. I did the second time around though and did not appreciate it either.
ReplyDeleteI had a hiatal hernia (which causes heartburn x1000) while pregnant. No bueno. Luckily, when I got the lap band, they fixed Mr. Hernia and I have been heartburn free ever since! I feel your pain, sista! Tums were my best friend. Just not the tropical fruit flavor. Those are gross.
ReplyDeleteKeep trying different brands and flavours. You will eventually find one that doesn't make you want to throw up before they have a chance to make you feel better.
ReplyDeleteYay for the housing market. You can't buy until you've sold so better to be there than watch your dream house slip away. xx
I didn't have heart burn until later in my pregnancy. I understand how you are feeling though. I get that stuck feeling sometimes when I eat too fast ever since my weight loss surgery.
ReplyDeleteCheck with your OB but mine let me take Zantac. I had killer heartburn during my pregnancy.
